Pros and Cons of Hiring Web Designers
If you do an online search for "web designers" you should find plenty. You can also search this directory:
Body Modified Web Designers
For that directory, you'll need to choose the state where you want your designer to be located. Keep in mind, your designer doesn't need to be in the same state unless it's really important to you that you meet face to face. So you can search any location. Just be sure you choose someone whose work reflects the good design principles you learned on the Web Design page. One designer whose work is attractive and user friendly is
Susan Nigrosh
. I was very pleased with the work
Maureen Barlow
did for me when she designed my
Scribe for Hire
website. Hiring a designer is your most expensive option, but it does give you plenty of flexibility, as you have control over what the website will look like and do (if you can afford everything you want). On the other hand, once the work is done, you actually have less flexibility, unless you can afford to hire your designer whenever you want a change. When I had my site designed, I purchased Dreamweaver, which is a very popular web design software program that Maureen used to build my website. It wasn't difficult to learn to change the words of text in Dreamweaver, but it's been challenging to make bigger changes. It's also an extra expense. It cost about $300 when I bought it a few years ago and now costs $399. In short, this can be an excellent option, especially if your needs are very specialized. But it's worth it to check out less expensive options, as they may suit your purposes just fine. To learn about those less expensive options, visit
